System Upgrade:
| | |
Most computers (not laptops) can be upgraded by replacing the motherboard,
processor, and memory even though people have been told
otherwise. This type of upgrade will save you the most money
since your not replacing your computer case (outside), CD or DVD
drives, Floppy drive, and Hard Drive. Also keeping your current
keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Essentially just replacing the
'guts' of your current system. There are basic requirements that
your system must meet to be able to qualify for this type of
upgrade, you can bring it in (just the computer) and we will
evaluate your current working computer for
FREE*. (most of the
time while you wait.) We can make several suggestions for the
upgrade based on cost, speed, and compatibility.
Our Vista Upgrade Recommendations:
Processor: Intel 3GHz or Higher, AMD Athlon 64 3000+ or
Higher
Memory: 1GB or Higher, we recommend a minimal of 2GB
Hard Drive: 160GB Serial ATA or Higher - depending on usage
(pictures, data, programs, etc.)
Optical Drive: DVD-ROM, we recommend a DVD-RW drive
(Vista comes in DVD format)
Video Card: 128MB AGP or 128MB PCI-X16, we recommend 256MB
PCI-X16 (Vista is more graphic intensive)
Monitor: 17" or Higher capable of at least 1024x768, we
recommend a 19" LCD that can display 1280x1024 minimum
Please note: for users running custom programs, software
and/or hardware, you must contact the manufacture to assure
Windows Vista compatibility. |
